Gas bill came in 3 times as high as usual. Investigated and found leak at meter.

Called Atmos who promptly sent someone out. he verified the leak and replaced the meter. Everything on my side right down to the nut on top was reused. Technician pressure tested saying that if any thing on my side leaks i would need a plumber, and that he would not be able to hook service back up.

Every thing checked out great. The only thing changed out was the meter. Now Atmos is saying the leak was on my side and I still owe full amount.

Even the compression nut that connects to the meter is still the old one. So how is this leak my fault, or my responsibility?

Reason of review: Paying for gas I did not use, only meter replaced.

Monetary Loss: $94.

Preferred solution: Price reduction.

Atmos Energy Cons: Not understanding at all always my fault, That the bill would not be discounted.

NO GAS USED=$40/MONTH BILL.

I was setting up Auto Bill pay in my online banking for Atmos when I notices aNOTHER $19 dollar charge IN ADDITION to their $19 "customer fee". Yeah in case you weren't aware you're paying Atmos $20/month FOR NOTHING.

That's the fee you pay "just to be a customer". ANYWAY when paying Atmos through your bank they AUTOMATICALLY BUILD IN AN ADDITIONAL $20 AT THE TIME YOU PAY THROUGH YOUR OWN BANK!!!

NO GAS USED & NO SERVICE PROVIDED=$40/MONTH BILL.

Atmos has a long standing reputations of SCREWING THE CUSTOMER FIRST and then... well then they're job is done.

It's up to the customer to ask questions...

and be given standard BS sandbagging answers that amount to: "Atmos doesn't make mistakes.

Pay up or get cut off."

It's just dollars and cents statistics people. The more of a pain in the *** they make it to hold them to legal standards the more of our money they get to wrongfully bill for and keep.

This company will keep screwing us as long as we tolerate it.

I wish I could live long enough to see natural gas depleted just to see that *** company go under.

(Everything) after the meter is the customers responsibility, if you get a unusual high bill you should call and they will send someone out to do a high bill investigation.
